Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Patrons frequently praise the generous portions and fair pricing, making Waves a stellar value. Many have noted the crispy, golden batter on the fish, perfectly complementing the fluffy chips; it’s a winning combination. The gluten-free options make this place special, as they cater to dietary restrictions with utmost care, adding to its appeal for everyone in the family.

Friendliness of the staff stands out in reviews, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Regular customers often highlight their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction, cultivating a sense of community.

Most Disliked

While the food quality usually shines, some customers mention occasional long wait times during peak hours. The busiest periods fall on Fridays after 6 PM and Saturdays, which can lead to a rushed experience. Parking can also become competitive due to its popularity, posing a challenge for visitors during busy times.

Another occasional critique involves the seating arrangements; despite the accessibility options, bandwidth can feel tight during peak dining hours, leading some diners to prefer takeaway for a more comfortable experience.

Absolutely has to be the best chip shop. As a celiac, I am fussy about where I eat but the super friendly staff always welcome us when we walk in and make us fresh gluten free food with portions to last us for days. Beautiful fresh quality food. Highly recommended for all

The best chipshop in Rugby, without question. I travel 5miles to the other side of town to go here, with plenty of others on my doorstep. Fish with no batter, fried on request, always perfect, chips always well cooked with plenty of colour, friendly polite team too 🤌👌 Some of the biggest kebabs you'll ever see too 😲🤤😃

Waves is a true gem for fish and chips enthusiasts. Their consistency is unmatched, and every visit feels like a warm, familiar treat. The batter is perfectly golden and crispy, encasing beautifully flaky fish, while the chips are always cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Pair this with their impeccable service and you have an experience that never disappoints. If you're looking for a spot that serves classic fish and chips done right, Waves is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality and reliability in every bite.

very good and efficient - although the young lady who served me was taking to her colleague when handing over the food, at £3.50 for a bag of chips that feed three of us, is remarkable compared to my nearest establishment, I would have to pay £5.60 to get close to the same portion size. The fish when cooked to order is lovely and the kebabs are really lovely and good portion size, have not tried the pizzas but look good out of a stone oven.
